On June 19, 2008 President Bush presented Dr. Carson with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, America's highest civilian award. Dr. Carson's recieved this award for his groundbreaking contributions to medicine and for his inspiring efforts to help America's youth fulfill their potential. Follow-Up: The 2nd Annual Ben Carson Celebrity Golf Tournament was another great success!
